Update 8/21/18: Authorities this morning revealed that there may be evidence that Chris Watts was unfaithful to his wife. In addition, documents detail that Chris now says he walked in when his wife was attacking their two daughters, and that in a rage, he killed his wife. No word on what evidence there is to support his confession.
Update 8/20/18: Christopher Watts, husband of Le-Vel distributor Shanann Watts, was formally charged with murder this afternoon. Investigators will be releasing an affidavit that outlines why they believe Chris killed his wife, two daughters, and unborn son.
Update 8/18/18: Trying to uncover a motive for the murders, news agencies are reporting that Shanann and her husband Christopher struggled financially in recent years, including filing for bankruptcy in 2015. At the time of the filing, the Watts owed $70,000, most of it in student loans and credit cards. Friends acknowledge that the couple had financial issues, but have yet to confirm that they were fighting currently. As we’ve detailed extensively at MLM News Report, most MLM distributors end up losing money.
Arrest documents reveal that the victims may have been strangled, and pathologists are currently conducting swab tests on the necks and hands of the recovered bodies. We’ll continue to update this article as we learn more.

Multi-level marketing company Le-Vel issued a statement today on Facebook regarding slain distributor Shanann Watts. Her husband, Christopher Watts, reportedly confessed to killing her and their two daughters after she returned from a Le-Vel conference in the early hours of Monday morning.
Watts confirmed to reporters that “We had an emotional conversation, I’ll leave it at that. I just want them back. I just want them to come back.” Authorities are still gathering information about what may have caused the rift between Shanann and her husband. According to her LinkedIn profile, Watts has been a Thrive distributor for almost 3 years.
~After reading the details of this and other articles regarding this horrible crime,I cannot help but wonder if perhaps some sort of a chemical imbalance occurred in the parents of the girls from wearing those weight~loss patches, which may have caused them to become upset with each other, and ultimately contributed to this outcome….maybe some blood testing would help to determine the truth.
